"Brown paper packages tied up with string...these are a few of my favourite things..."
Well, they don't quite arrive in brown paper anymore but the thrill of receiving parcels in the mail doesn't lose it's gloss regardless. I actually received 4 parcels in the mail and dh looked sideways at me but hesitated to comment, you see tractors cost such a lot more....
Some of my Jim Shore decorates the new fabric. The nativity has been put away and I think a very clever husband may manage to find it strategically placed in his underwear drawer in time to give it to me for my August birthday. Aren't they clever shoppers!

Love these red floral stripes, look great for bags. I also am very short of blacks and think they can add so much to brights so I stocked up on the polka dots as well.

My Angel of Faithfulness guards these choices. -bet you can't figure out why she had to come here!

The stripe and floral closest are from Heather Bailey and I saw a link on Quilting in Cornfields to her site. Looks great real, I don't think it's around over here yet. the rest are all on sale stash builders. I love the harvest vegies. (Ooh, I linked and it worked!!!Well done to Kim who gives good instructions as well as apple recipes!)

Some cute little fabrics for the boy who thinks he is a rodeo rider and is hooked on Marty Robbins' Gunfighter ballads! And last but not least, an ebay purchase, 475+ strips of a 30's kids range. All pre-cut to 5 inches by 1.5 inches. Cost me about $15 Australian and for not having to cut it was worth it.

Any details on the fabric just drop me a line

What a lot of lovely packages! I especially love the 1930's strips - does the Ebay seller have them regularly? If she does would you mind sending me the Ebay Store or Ebay User name. Thanks.

By the way, your little man who's into Marty Robbin's Gufighter ballads - he's sooo right - they're cool - *lol*

Gosh, that Kim is a great gal, isn't she?! LOL! Glad the link worked, and did you actually make the apple cake yet? Oh, and I have that same black with white polka dot fabric--I love it because the dots are irregular and not all in a line. And how did Jim Shore know you love chooks?! Congrats on a great eBay find too!

My goodness - what a small world! I was given the same angel, by my employer's wife, ala the minister's wife. I work at a church, and they call me a Saint at times, and often an angel, hence the gift. I collect baskets, hence the angel with the basket, and the minister's wife once made me a row for a Row x Row, with ME feeding chickens! How's that for a perfect gift - yep that same angel you have, guarding your fabric! LOVE those Jim Shore items. Aren't they all just warm and wonderful! What a bunch of goodies in your last blog!

Ohhhhh -- LOVE the fabrics and isn't the Heather Bailey yummy? I STILL need to get some but I do think it's available in your part of the world. I have seen it at the Material Obsession site http://www.moshop.com.au/kpg/HeatherBailey/50/314/ . Now what an American is doing with an Austrailian quilt shop link -- and knew you could find the fabrics there, don't ask me -- but they do have a fun blog!

I love the Jim Shore angel. I have one gorgeous piece that was a gift from my sisters on their overseas trip.
Would LOVE more but it is SO expensive.

Hi Tracey, looks like some great stash enhancement. Good to see you are not on a Fabric Diet - me either! I like the Amitie Textiles blog - have a look at March 2007 for Heather Bailey fabrics. amitietextiles.typepad.com
