We should all be rich!!!
I bought the latest "Real Living " magazine when standing at the checkout...thought it might motivate me to tidy the house.
I think "Real living" may be stretching it a bit, see this quilt?
Well, it is coolly priced at $880!! There is a bit of ric-rac on it, the fabric is eclectic and I can recognize some 70's/80's in there and it is machine quilted about an inch in from the seams but more a day's work than a week's. It probably is worth good money, but we would all be rich if we could make quilts for what they are actually worth!!
Addition to post: obviously I am not the only one who thinks this is big money, I got $160 for a patchwork doona cover once, otherwise I don't do much paid work on quilts, other that $40-$50 quickies for fundraiser prizes. What is the most you have ever earnt from a quilt project?
