You Are Christmas |
More than most people, you are able to find magic in life's small moments.Traditions mean a lot to you, and you tend to be quite nostalgic. You are a giving, kind person who really understands the true meaning of holidays. You inspire others to be as altruistic and caring as you are. |
Yes, that may have elements of me, but actually everyone's that I have seen seems to say the same thing! I should go back and put in "I like to keep everything for myself" answers and see if that livens up the response!
The storyteller part really made me laugh though...that is my ideal parallel universe life.... traveling the world unencumbered and telling stories to children all day.
NOW! I NEED HELP!!! Can anyone explain to me why I do not buy great fabrics in 2 metre pieces when I see them? Who would have though my Dad's perfect fabric for his quilt that needs to be made in 12 days, would be sold out at my LQS!!! Obviously not me!
I don't have much so am putting out a plea if any Aussie girls have seen it lately and would be prepared to grab me another metre and a half or just tell me the name of the shop so I can do it myself you better email me ASAP....photo was included in last couple of posts. Have a great day, Tracey
My daughter calls it "A cheap attack" and it happens to all of us. The opposite is buying 3 meters of something and realizing when you get home that it won't go with anything else in your stash.
ReplyDeleteDo you have the selvedge? Maybe you could see who the stockists are of the brand and ring around? I've never seen it before, but the only LQS I go to now has mainly repro fabrics.
ReplyDeleteHope you are successful in finding your fabric. I go back and forth first buying only fat quarters then buying 1 and 2 yard cuts . . . a vicious cycle *s*
ReplyDeleteDid you ask your QS for the fabric maker name, dye lot #, inventory #? You should be able to find your fabric on the web...if it's still out there. Did your shop happen to have any fat quarters of it. Not sure this helps at all but it has been a way for me to get around sold out fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem with fabrics I buy -- have you tried doing an internet search? Who is the maker/etc? We can hunt it down!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this one over here, but that doesn't mean it isn't lurking everywhere. I hope someone finds it for you.
ReplyDeleteExactly, and when you are going to use the fabric it is not enough for the project, I know what you mean.
ReplyDeleteYOur fabric is divine....love it and how appropriate for your father. Also loved the notecards.Good luck in locating more....know I can't help you here....we have trouble finding the ordinary things in Africa! Colleen
ReplyDeleteYou're probably being stash conscious by not buying more than 2 metres of fabric. Sorry, I don't have that fabric to share.
