I have been planning a photo quilt for several years already, the photos were transferred to fabric at a photo shop. I'm planning to make texts for them using transfer sheets. How she will cherish it. I have seen that done once on a QS quilt. It was a 50th wedding anniversary present, the husband/wife were in the middle and all the blocks radiating out were family members.
